The Maeres: Baby Bump Family Session

Cargo, Wiradjuri Country.

We’d had bushfires, we were still very much in drought, but this family of three (very soon to be four!) braved a late summer afternoon to frolick on their favourite hill with me in Cargo, New South Wales.

Danni decided a couple of weeks out from her due date that, since she’d had a maternity shoot with her first pregnancy, it was only fair that this little babe got the same photos. We scrambled to make it happen as soon as possible and I am SO glad that their little girl decided to stay inside a for wee bit longer!

I love photographing baby bumps and this one was no exception: Danni was absolutely glowing. Their little Alba Pearl arrived less than one week later with fiery-red hair and bright blue eyes - not quite what this dark-haired family were expecting!

While Steve and Danni had the posing all sorted, little Archer was not as enthused at having his picture taken. While he made me work pretty hard, I adored this session and the photos that came out of it because it tells their story perfectly:
