Mountain Bride: Creative Portrait Session
Lithgow/Blue Mountains, Wiradjuri & Gundungurra country.
To say that location scouting is a fun part of my job is an understatement: I’m pretty obsessed with it.
So when this spot popped up on my radar, I knew that I had to plan a shoot. The Blue Mountains is at the top of my photography bucket list and this really was the next best thing, located just out of Lithgow, New South Wales.
I wrangled my lovely friend Lu, her Ariats and a couple of dresses and we drove two hours to spend a very cold and windy afternoon at Hassans Walls lookout.
The weather nailed it for us with a mostly moody afternoon peppered with bursts of light when the sun would peep through for a few minutes.
The wind was also working in our favour and added such a whimsical element to these photos.
And Lu definitely didn’t need a husband to make this shoot utterly amazing. Best solo bride ever!
This spot is definitely one to add to your list of possible elopement locations!
